Guide:Yortzec's Blue-a-pult Guide

From Fantastic Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

A blue-a-pult is a kind of catapult that uses the weight of sticks to make an unpowered wheel rotate at a fast speed, catapulting a goal object or other object very far. This catapult can be extremely powerful, and my guide can show you how to make them even more powerful. They are called blue-a-pults because of the colour of the blue unpowered wheel used in their construction. Below is a very simple and crude example of a blue-a-pult in action. They

Simple Example

However, using this guide, I can show you how to make much better, more powerful blue-a-pults, and yet even faster than it takes to make simple and crude ones.

Powerful Example

First, make an unpowered wheel and attach a stick from the bottom of the wheel to the right side. Then make a water rod coming from the top of the wheel to the end of the stick to make an arm for the blue-a-pult. Then, place the goal object or whatever is supposed to be shot off of it onto the arm, like so.

Then, attach two water rods off of the center of the wheel to the ground, a good length apart from each other. Then, connect the two lines with a water rod to make a triangle base.

Now here is the tricky part. Don't simply follow the image, because it is impossible to tell that there is more than one stick in the same place. Click on the stick tool, and then find a fairly open area so that when you click, it will make a short, stubby stick connected to nothing. Now, find that spot, and click about twenty-five (or more) times without moving your mouse at all. Don't click over about sixty times, because then the catapult will just fall apart. Just leave it at a lower number.

Now, drag the left side (not the right) of that bundle of sticks and drag them longer. This will make all twenty-five or so sticks longer. You can also drag them by clicking in the middle of the bundle of sticks, but be careful not to drag the right side at all.

Now, the final step. Make a stick right below the bundle of sticks, but don't connect it at all to the bundle. Then, make a water rod between the right side of that stick and the top of the wheel. Then, make a water rod between the left side of the stick and the right side of the wheel. Now, if you have done everything correctly, you are finished.

Finished Blue-a-Pult

I hope this guide helps you to become a blue-a-pult master!
